Albe Falzon

What can I say about Albe Falzon? Probably one of the nicest persons I ever talked in my whole life. Albe was part of the first Santos SurfArt and he was so kind to accept the invitation to be part of the second edition. Wish one day I can share some waves with him.
Below, Albe's Q&A...
What’s you name and where are you from?
Albert Falzon - born in the inner suburb of Sydney in Australia.

When did you find out that you would be an artist?
We are all artists at heart - it just takes a little time to realize that. Birth is the ultimate form of creation. Art is an extension of that. Some say "art is where the heart is"...........

What do you want to show to people when you do you art?
Beauty.

What’s surf for you?
Love.

Can you tell us some highlights in your carrier?
Every moment is a blessing - every breath an extension of life. Every brushstroke the hand of the Creator.

What comes to your mind when you hear the word Brasil?
Sensuality and laughter.

How do you feel to be part of an art show over here in Santos city?
Happy.

Some words to the people that will see your work in Brasil...
Give thanks for what you have - give to those who have not.

Ryan Tatar

Ryan Tatar was one of the first artists that I contact to be part of the show here in Brasil. He was very kind and happy to be part of it... Here's the first of a series of interviews that will go with all the artists involved in this project. So, let's start with Ryan... a kind man, full of good images and stoked!
What´s you name and where are you from?
Ryan Tatar, San Diego, Calif.

When did you find out that you would be an artist?
I'm still working hard to call myself that...

What do you want to show to people when you do you art?
For those that don't surf, a view into life from the eye of a surfer.... for those that do surf, it is my take on ''surf culture' outside of popular mainstream perception.

What´s surf for you?
4-6 ft, offshore, and glassy at Tourmaline.

Can you tell us some highlights in your carrier?
Fine Art Sales W/W, Surfrider Art benefits, the Alma Surf Festival, and publishings in England, Germany, the Netherlands, Brasil, United States, and Australia.

What comes to your mind when you hear the word Brasil?
Friendly and free people. Natural beauty. Endless rain forests. Too many Skol's at a rain-drenched carnaval a few years ago...

How do you feel to be part of an art show over here in Santos city?
STOKED.

Some words to the people that will see your work in Brasil...
"Obrigado."

I Santos SurfArt Show

This was the first art show... It was simple, organic, and, well... the first one...
We put everything below a tent, and we did it. We had 5000 visitors on the week days, and 15.000 on the weekend. All for free and pure enjoyment...
