Joe Curren it’s an amazing photographer. He’s an amazing surfer. Amazing traveler. His work has been around the world, in galleries and surf art boutiques. Very kind guy, and was very lovely about being part of the show. He’s a man of short words, but his photos talks for him. Above, roots surf in San Tome. Below, his words.
What's you name and where are you from?
Joe Curren. Santa Barbara, CA USA
When did you find out that you would be an artist?
Probably after I first started to sell a few prints.
What do you want to show to people when you do you art?
Simple, quiet and, hopefully, inspiring images.
What's surf for you?
Part lifestyle, part hobby.
Can you tell us some highlights in your carrier?
My first book was published in Japan in 2007.
What comes to your mind when you hear the word Brasil?
Beautiful beaches and women. Big cities. Passionate citizens.
How do you feel to be part of an art show over here in Santos city?
I’m honored to be a part the II Santos SurfArt show, the first exhibition of my work in Brasil.
Some words to the people that will see your work in Brasil.
Keep surfing and take care of each other and the environment.
